A pre-loved 7" single of Kim Wilde’s Four Letter Word in charity shop Sense in Hackney, east London

“If this one had flopped, I would have gone down in history as the blonde girl who sang Kids in America.”
Kim Wilde

I love singles — and charity shops can be a goldmine for 7”, 12”, CD and cassette singles.

So I’ve started ducking into UK charity shops to buy a pre-loved single, then I find out more about the band, the song, how it charted and what happened to them next.

I’ve already found incredible 80s, 90s and 00s hits by Goldfrapp, Kim Wilde, Colonel Abrams, Britney, Doop and Wee Papa Girl Rappers.

Rediscover them with me on my new website
HIT SINGLES IN YOUR AREA: www.hit-singles.com

Or just jump straight to each single:

And if there’s a charity shop near you with a good stock of singles, let me know — I’d love to pay them a visit.
